Description
This retreat is for women looking for an opportunity to deepen their relationships with themselves and deal with major changes or shifts happening in their lives. Transitions can ripen our hearts to new yearnings and experiences, and open our doorway to calls to service. As women, we have so much to offer and this retreat can help you find your deepest wisdom and learn how to take it forward into your life.
We will explore transformational tools for self-care, grief work, and self-compassion; and create the opportunity to slow down and feel the support of other women. We will explore mindfulness practices, walking, moving and sitting to drop deeper into our feminine voices and power. Whether you have a mindfulness practice or are curious to explore these tools more deeply, we will create a deeper circle of care, healing and deep listening together, and a container to hold whatever needs to be felt and processed.
This year’s retreat will cover two additional days of deep diving into our embodied selves where we can embrace gently the parts that are in pain. We will open more deeply to the intuitive knowing of our deep feminine containers through embodiment practices from Goddess myths and Mother Gaia. Through many forms of connection with nature, ourselves and each other, we will learn the power of compassionately witnessing ourselves and each other: Yoga, Ritual, Sacred Dance, Deep Practice, Nature Practice, Sharing Circles, and Silence. Tools for grieving and the IFS Toolbox will be presented and explored in our practices together.
In this weekend, we will uncover, share and explore what we know about ourselves deep inside, that is always there for us—when we slow down, get quiet, and tap into our own deep feminine wisdom. In our final day, we will explore ways that we can move forward into the world with this new wisdom by finding our new place of action in the world. We will revisit Joanna Macy’s Spiral as we have in Stage 3 of the Midlife Voyage and practice “seeing with new eyes” and other rituals in deep time. This will give us the perspective of our interconnectedness to everything so that we can see beyond and within at the same time. This ecodharma is our final focus.

TESTIMONIALS
This retreat was exactly what I needed! I’m in the middle of a divorce and had really lost my sense of self after many years in an unfulfilled marriage. I was able to work through a great deal of anger, shame and hurt during the week with the guidance of our instructor/guide and the support of other women attending the retreat. I found healing and moved into a place of loving kindness and compassion for myself by implementing the mindfulness techniques from this retreat. Thank you for this transformative opportunity!! “I was scared to attend this retreat —fearful of discovering something I did not want to acknowledge or face. I feel so blessed to have been given this weekend to connect with so many different spirits of beautiful women and move through that fear more. I can’t wait to see where these new connections take me!” KV 2021
“This was a new experience for me! I’m good around people and strangers but the depth of the relationships that I developed with fellow retreaters was heartwarming, encouraging, and inspiring. It allowed me to go deeper in my search for wholeness and compassion for myself and others. I believe compassion will carry me further in this life than I knew previously.” RN 2021
“The Woman’s Mindfulness Retreat with Donna was an amazing and powerful experience. She created a safe place for us to go into ourselves and be vulnerable with each other. She had carefully planned activities that we gradually and gently were able to go deeper and deeper. In only three and a half days we felt so bonded as a community! I highly recommend a retreat with Donna.” SS 2022
“This retreat has opened my heart to myself and the other women on their journeys. I had not attended a retreat before, so I did not know what to expect. I found acceptance, kindness, caring for myself as well as from others. I’ve only known these amazing women for four days! The community and connectedness is powerful and I hope carries me on afterwards.” AK 2021
I knew this retreat would be wonderful and hard and, indeed, it was both! There was so much support and camaraderie that enabled me to move forward from some stuck areas. I’m feeling more peaceful with many tools to care for myself and many hugs along the way. Yeah! CS 2022
Donna’s retreats get to the heart of the important matters in the first few moments. If you’re wanting to heal grief that’s hanging on for much too long, this retreat is for you! Meditation, a variety of mindfulness practices, yoga, dancing, and singing together. You won’t be sorry and you’ll leave much lighter, brighter and more joyful than you arrived. EF 2022
